Game 47 Recap

Tigers 4 Indians 7

The first game of this series was kind of reminiscent of the first game of the Angels series:
  • The starting pitcher for the tigers struggled
  • The opposing team crushes the ball
  • Tigers make a late run at the game
  • Defense by the opposing team make a difference
Cleveland is a great team and the Tigers are not going to sweep every series. The key is how well they bounce back in from of a national audience later today.

Tiger Magglio:
Carlos Guillen. Carlos is used to getting overshadowed in the national limelight, but I think with Magglio's big year and Sheffield that Carlos is a dangerous hitter.

Tiger Zero:
Nate Robertson. In April he allowed 9 earned runs on 18 hits. In May he's allowed 18 earned runs on 44 hits. He's allowed 10+ hits three times in the month of May.

Tigers Record:
W - L
29 -18
2nd Place AL Central (0.5 GB Cleveland)
