Game 51 Recap

Tigers 14 Devil Rays 2

The Tigers sure know how to stop a losing streak. For the fifth time in May, the Tigers score double digits. Every Tiger to come to the plate recorded at least one hit. Four Tigers (Pudge, Sheffield, Polanco, and Monroe) had 3 hits a piece. Jeremy Bonderman gets more than enough run support, as he allowed only two runs (one earned) on 4 hits while striking out eight. Wil Ledezma didn't give up a hit, had two strikeouts, and walked two as well in 2 2/3 innings of mop up duty.

Tiger Hero:
Gary Sheffield. His 2 HRs and 5 RBIs were enough to beat the Devil Rays by himself. He was one hit away from tying the Tampa Bay output as well.

Tiger Zero:
Not much to nitpick in a blowout like this.

Tigers Record:
W - L
30 - 21
2nd Place AL Central (1.5 GB Cleveland)
